F.A.Q.

What are the opening hours for Little Possums?
Both our Possums Room and Pre-Kindy program run 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday – Friday.

Bookings for our Possums Room (daily child care) will be permanent year round bookings as at 3rd February 2020 with a 2 week break over Christmas.

Pre-Kindy runs during Term Time, with the option to book places in the Possums Room during School Holidays.

Can I receive Child Care Subsidy?

As an approved centre you may be able to claim Child Care Subsidy (CCS) for either Possums room or our Pre-Kindy. Most families are entitled to some form of benefit. To find out if you are eligible to apply, please contact Human Services on 132 468 or visit the website www.humanservices.gov.au. Alternatively visit your nearest family assistance office located within the Centrelink service centres.

Once you are registered, please advise the centre of you and your child’s CRN number. Further information can be found on the fact sheets located within our foyer.

All children are asked to bring:

  • A bag with your child’s name clearly labelled

  • If your child is still using Nappies – we ask that you use Pull Ups as we do not have nappy changing facilities in our Pre-Kindy room

Payment
The preferred method of payment is Direct Debit on a weekly basis as it takes less administration time. We do also accept payments in the morning via EFTPOS or cash. Payments are debited from your account on Monday following the week of care. In the event that your direct debit is dishonoured, you will be charged a fee of $14.80 by Debit Success.
Do I get charged for Public Holidays?

Yes. If your child is booked for daycare or to attend our pre-kindy program on a day that is a public holiday, you will still be charged for that day. You are still able to claim CCS for this if you are eligible.

What happens in the event of a bushfire?
Living in the Perth Hills, we are very aware of being bushfire aware. That comes hand in hand with our magical bush environment.

If the Bureau of Meteorology states that the fire rating in our area is classed as Catastrophic, the centre will be closed for that day. We will contact all parents via email and phone the previous day.

We have a centre emergency evacuation policy and procedure which  is displayed on the wall in both our rooms for your information and we practice our evacuation drill every 3 months with the children.

What are the fees?

Our fees for Possums Daycare room are $80.50 per day.

Pre-Kindy is $87.75 per day.

As an approved provider centre, you can claim Child Care Subsidy for both rooms if you are eligible.

Happy Customers

“Helen and her team and beautiful! My boy started at 6 months old and he’s thriving! Never wants to come home.  Honestly the best decision to pop your little one in this daycare! Would rate 10 stars is I could”

Brooke Beggs

So much more than a child care centre! Such a nurturing, caring environment for our kids, a true testament to the hills community.”
